Destination Wedding in Koh Phangan, Thailand

I still remember how excited I was when Megan & Dan first told me of their plans to get married in Thailand. When they confirmed that they wanted to book me to shoot their wedding, I think I had to pinch myself several times. I woke up the next morning thinking I had dreamt the whole thing. I felt incredibly lucky!

Fast forward about 12 months…

Megan and Dan got married in August 2019, on the island of Koh Phangan, in the Gulf coast of Thailand - a place very dear to both of their hearts, and a place that they keep returning to, and will do for years to come.

Their wedding took place at the Beautiful Loyfa Natural Resort which was the perfect setting for the simple, stripped back vision that Megan had for an intimate beach wedding with their nearest and dearest.

I am totally honoured to have had the opportunity to shoot this incredible wedding and it will remain as one of my ultimate career highlights. To be able to document the rawness of these kinds of weddings is just a huge privilege. It is an experience I will never forget.

I will let the photos do the rest of the talking. Here are my favourites from the day…

A Destination wedding in Portugal - Camelia & Tim

Well, what can I say about this wedding! It was all kinds of amazing and I feel so lucky I got the opportunity to capture it.

When Camelia first contacted me about her wedding in Portugal I was extremely excited about the chance to document a destination wedding. It was a personal goal of mine, since becoming a wedding photographer, to travel as part of my job, and the fact that I got to see that dream come true was incredible. Now I am itching to photograph more weddings abroad, and see as much of this beautiful planet as possible, through my eyes and my lens...

Camelia and Tim got married at the stunning Quinta, Vintage Wedding  venue near Sintra, Portugal. It was the perfect location, up in the mountains,  but with gorgeous views of the atlantic ocean. The venue itself is a charming historical estate surrounded by the most beautiful gardens and for weddings,  is decorated in a vintage, eclectic style with unique pieces of furniture and details.

I turned up the day before the wedding and immediately hit it off with the Tim and Camelia  - they were so warm and friendly and not only did I get on great with them, but all their friends and family. The day after the wedding was lovely and chilled and I was warmly welcomed into their post wedding celebration party to enjoy a BBQ and a few drinks before heading back to Lisbon airport for my flight home.

The couple added their own twist on an already unique venue, decorating the outside of the building with brightly coloured balloons, which certainly gave an element of juxtaposition to the wedding setting.

The whole day was amazing, sunny, family oriented,  and the wine flowed like water! It is definitely a wedding I will remember and I can't thank Tim and Camelia enough for getting to photograph their beautiful day.

Here a selection of my favourite images. I tried to cut them back more but it was impossible...

Angela & Leigh's London Wedding

Angela & Leigh had a gorgeous London wedding with a difference. Going against tradition and formality, the couple got ready together at their flat in Pimlico, before heading in a taxi to the stunning Albert Bridge to have some portraits taken before their ceremony which is Angela's favourite bridge in the city. The Ceremony took place at the famous Chelsea Old Town Hall followed by a dinner reception at a private dining room in Bumpkin , South Kensington. Here are a few of my favourites from their day.

Hannah & Dan

Hannah & Dan's relaxed & intimate wedding took place in and around Oxford City Centre, with their reception being held at the Awesome The Jam Factory followed by cocktails at The Duke of Cambridge Being at a wedding like this really hit home to me how important family and close friends are....their day was full of heartfelt emotion and laughter with nearest and dearest. Dan & Hannah are the most laid back couple you could ever meet and it was a pleasure hanging out with them. :)

Deborah & Stuart Wedding

I'm so excited to share this blog post with you. Deborah and Stuart got married in May 2015 and it was the most awesome wedding full of my favourite things - belly laughs, beautiful friendships and pure and honest Love. If you ask me, that's pretty much all you need at a wedding. Being a part of their special day made me feel like a guest with my camera, as everyone was so warm and welcoming. Of course, we also had fantastic venues and gorgeous weather on our side which was a huge bonus. The day kicked off at Deborah's parents house, whilst Stuart did the groom prep thing at his and Deb's place. We then went onto St Johns chuch in Stanmore for the Ceremony which was full of emotion and even laughter, followed by the reception which took place at MHO The Venue in Bushey which is a stunning converted church and grade II listed building.  I will leave you with the photos  to do the rest of the story telling. Big thank you to Lucie Watson for second shooting this one with me.  Finally thanks to Stu & Deb for having me - you guys rock!
